The SIPPL holds eliminations in which players will compete in brief games, usually lasting between 5 minutes to 32 minutes long (divided into 16-minute halves).

The IPL holds most of its events in their SupAir Field. To help develop skills, the league allows one novice player in each team. The IPL defines novice as a player who has not played paintball for one year or has not played tournaments for more than two years.
