Paintball isn’t really paintball without the gun.  Paintball guns are also called paintball markers, and these can be very expensive and unnecessarily sophisticated for beginners.  Choosing a paintball marker, hence, depends on your capability and familiarity with the game.

Are you a beginner who’s on your way to learning the rules of the sport?  There are many affordable types available but are not exactly of high quality as those used by the pros.  Nonetheless, look for an upgradeable gun that you can enhance when your requirements arise.  Serious players, like those who play in tournaments, need a high-performance gun with added features to keep them at pace with the action.

Another consideration in choosing paintball packages is your role in the game.  Do you belong to the frontline players, or are you a sniper?  This factor helps you choose the right paintball packages suitable for your needs.

Next to the gun is the paintball outfit, which is also included in paintball packages.  Paintball is indeed exhilarating but without the proper outfit you’re compromising your safety.  Players always need to wear goggles to protect their eyes from paintballs.  Wearing a suit, such as jersey or pants designed specifically for the sport can additionally help with safety.  However, you may also improvise on a suit by wearing layers of protective clothing.

A helmet or mask is another important gear to look for in paintball packages.  Although you’re playing with “toy” guns getting hurt during the game is not unusual.  Again, choosing the type of helmet will depend on a player’s responsibility in the game but helmets are generally required in every game.

One important thing to remember before playing paintball is to choose paintball packages that will not break your bank account but are also competitive enough in order not to get laughed at in the middle of the field.

There are several paintball packages complete with gears that are affordable enough for beginners, and will help you get to the next level of adventure.
