Extreme Downhill Mountain Biking
In general, when you mountain bike, you're going along very rough mountain trails. In fact, this
is what thrills mountain bikers about the sport. Challenging terrain and rough trails are exactly what they're
looking for. For even more of a challenge, extreme downhill mountain biking was created for those who need the
ultimate adrenaline rush.
Extreme mountain biking is dangerous and the
thrilling at the same time. If you're a thrill seeker, you can do extreme mountain biking for the limitless
challenges it provides. The Scottish Borders especially are experts in extreme downhill mountain biking. Amateur
riders always look for help from this particular type of biker. Therefore, the group itself has created and offers
two separate categories of extreme downhill mountain biking courses. These include the Red Bull Downhill course and
the Glentress Forest.
The Red Bull Downhill Course is a must for anyone wanting to concentrate on the technical side
of mountain biking training. It is the fastest and most extreme downhill mountain biking course. On the other hand,
the Glentress Forest is more acclimated to those bikers who are not yet up to the task of extreme downhill mountain
biking. This particular course is further subdivided into four parts. Each is color graded and bikers should choose
the course most suited to their current abilities. Green is for beginners, those completely new to the sport; blue
is for those with a little experience but who still need much more practice and training; red is for those riders
who have intermediate skills; and finally, black is for those who are extreme downhill mountain biking experts;
this last course is a long one, 30 km.
Therefore, if you're beginner to advanced, you should enroll yourself in a course suitable to
your needs. As this is a much more dangerous sport than regular mountain biking is, you should not attempt to
undertake it until your skills match the challenges it presents. Of course, always keep safety measures in mind,
including use of proper equipment, such as helmets, kneepads, full gear, and the like. Of course, keep your
mountain bike in proper condition at all times so that it can provide you with the handling and safety you
need.
Although extreme downhill mountain biking is popular with very young riders, it's also popular
with all age groups. All you need is the right physical endurance and reflexes, as well as training, of course, to
handle it. As long as you're someone who has an urge to push yourself to the limit, you can be either a teenager or
a baby boomer to undertake this sport. The adrenaline and rush it gives you is a natural high. Done properly,
extreme downhill mountain biking can give you a safe thrill that provides you the physical challenge you need.
