Now that you’ve measured the area and seen what the options to buy a dartboard are you need to decide what size target you want. The Target area size can vary a lot depending on the manufacturer and the intended dart games and the intended environment. Bristle boards usually take 13 inches and Electronic ones can go upto 15.5 inches.

You also need to pick the right darts when you buy a dartboard. The right dartboard needs the right darts. Bristle board dartboards will require steel tipped darts. If you buy other dartboard you’ll maybe need soft plastic darts.

If you want to go electronic you can buy a dartboard that is made for arcade use. If you go arcade and buy a dartboard these dartboards have way more features and are fun to use with all the lighting and sound effects. If you do decide to buy a dartboard like that be prepared to pay a lot more as well.

Finally remember to put some protection on the wall where you’re going to hang the dartboard. All too often people  buy a dartboard and forget that stray darts will ruin your wall, so remember to take that into account too.
